& Michelle Hoover, author of The Quickening

Lorrie Moore has called any novel by Howard Norman “cause for celebration”. His
latest is an expertly crafted tale of love during wartime set on the Atlantic coast
of Canada during WWII. Michelle Hoover’s writing has been called “brilliant and
gutsy” by such luminaries as Ursula Hegi. Her debut novel tells the epic story of a
bitter feud between two Iowa farming families—a feud lasting forty years through two World Wars and the Great Depression.

Marlboro College Professor Laura Stevenson and her husband, poet & novelist
F.D. Reeve celebrate the launch of their new books! Stevenson’s latest is a tale
of romance, misplaced pride, and unendurable sorrow as a man goes to VT
to deal with a secret property that is bequeathed to him after his wife’s death.
Reeve’s tenth poetry collection, with its elegant short lyrics and long dramatic
reworking of the Daedalus-Icarus myth, breaks new ground in the music of
holistic response. Reeve is the recipient of the Golden Rose Award for lifetime
achievement in poetry.
