The Book Cellar and Bartleby’s Books are two independent bookstores serving southern Vermont.  Together the two stores have been in operation for over 80 years.  As times change in the book world, we strive to be important to the communities we serve.  We are growing our events calendar, working with local schools,  and doing a lot of reading, so be sure to ask us for recommendations.  We love to talk about books!  We are always happy to special order books that we don’t have in stock.

The Book Cellar has been in downtown Brattleboro for just over 60 years.  With a population of about 10,000 and a total of five bookstores in town, Brattleboro is truly a book lovers dream.

Celebrating its twentieth year, Bartleby’s Books serves residents and visitors of the Deerfield Valley, and is located in the picturesque village of Wilmington.
